Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

● Understand the concepts behind money

● Understand the basics of digital money and how it is used

● Understand the basics of cryptography

● Describe major cryptocurrencies currently in use

● Describe the blockchain technology and and its uses

● Describe digital tokens and their uses

● Understand how current laws affect cryptocurrency

● Describe what a Smart Contract is and how they are used

● Understand how blockchain technology is currently in use and future uses

Course Description

Technology is constantly changing. It has a major impact on our everyday lives. Blockchain

technology is already currently used in the world for a variety of purposes. Many people have

heard of Bitcoin (a crypto currency) but this is just the beginning. Throughout this course, we

will examine the fundamentals of blockchain and cryptocurrency. These technologies and

concepts will change how we do business and transactions forever. Learn what you need to

know to stay relevant in your field.
