Welcome to the world of associations. As your experience has likely shown, working with associations can be exhausting and challenging. Frequently there is a disconnect and aggravation that stirs when working with associations. In this course, we will review the major information about HOAs and COAs. We will examine common mistakes and misunderstandings people have as well. By the end of this course, you will have a good understanding of how to better work with associations…including some tips and tricks along the way.

Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, will be able to:

● Understand Florida Statute 718

● Understand Florida Statute 720

● Describe the purpose of the association documents like the declaration, articles of incorporation and bylaws

● Understand the requirements for managing HOAs and Condos

● Understand the documents required for a real estate transaction in an HOA or COA

● Describe differences between HOAs and COAs

● Understand the required forms for real estate transactions

● Understand lawful screening practices

● Describe proper notice for meetings

● Describe reserve requirements

● Understand common challenges real estate professionals to overcome

● Understand best practices for working with associations
