Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

● Understand the background of the DOJ and the real estate profession

● Understand the current legal landscape and lawsuits affecting major brokerage firms and

the National Association of Realtors (NAR)

● Determine the services to provide to customers

● Define your unique value proposition in terms of the customer

● Understand the major types of real estate business models in use today

● Determine the best business model for your business and the customers you serve

● Understand how to anticipate future changes in the real estate industry

● Understand how the role of the real estate agent has changed over time

● Communicate to customers the importance of using a real estate agent

Course Description

The state of the real estate industry is in constant change. With Department of Justice

investigations, commission lawsuits, etc it is critical for real estate agents to pay attention to the

legal landscape. It’s also important to understand effective real estate business models and

how to market your services to the customer. Throughout this course, we will dive into

profitable business models and best practices for use in your real estate business.
